Bodyography and Sumita makeup artists have made up the faces of 300 Miss Universe hopefuls round the country in the lead-up to this month's crowning of Miss Universe Australia 2022.
The team of ''approximately 60 makeup artists” prepared 24 contestants in the seven state finals and then accompanied the 32 winners to Bali for that filming from the 'Road to Miss Universe Australia' TV special.
Bodyography director Rob Tamburro said they of makeup artists, led by Alarna Bell from Kolorz N Klawz salon in Victoria, worked tirelessly to ensure that the contestants looked their finest.
Rob, who was also a judge each and every state final and will also be a judge in the national final, said that despite all the hard work, the brand's sponsorship of the event (which commenced with Miss Universe Australia 2022) was worthwhile.
“The sponsorship has truly placed the Bodyography and Sumita brands on the higher platform because of all the exposure they've received,” he explained.
“It was by no means a little feat as we were there at every event through the entire process in each state however it gave us an opportunity to work alongside 72 beautiful and intelligent women to advertise beauty and empower women to become the very best that they can give them the boldness to defend myself against any role professionally or personally in their lives.
” It is also great that we have these 72 women employed by us as brand ambassadors promoting Bodyography and Sumita on social media in everything they are doing as they document all the Miss Universe Australia journey.”
He said the sponsorship was also important for the brand's stockists in addition to potential stockists “that are interested in the brand” because it “shows them simply how much we're out there getting brand recognition”.
Apart from Bodyography and Sumita, the Miss Universe entrants' “glam squad” included as well Bondi Sands Professional Spray Tans, Puresmile teeth bleaching and DNA Organics hair products.
The Bodygraphy and Sumita team of “around 15 makeup artists” works backstage in the Miss Universe Australia Final on June 29 in the Sofitel Melbourne on Collins.
