Brisbane-based beauty therapist Hazel Neilon has won a $1500 holiday in Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics' biggest ever competition around australia.
Hazel, the coordinator at Brazilian Beauty's Creek Street salon, won the travel voucher by selling “the most” limited-edition Youngblood Complexion Perfection Foundation Kits on the three-month period” in a competition run by Professional Beauty Solutions (the distributor of Youngblood around australia).
PBS chief executive officer Matt Williams said the organization held your competition to “launch the incredible re-branding of Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics as well as their new direction which embraces the Effortless California Beauty lifestyle”.
Salons participating in your competition was required to sell as numerous of the brand's limited-edition foundations kits as possible.
The kits, with a RRP of $85 each, were obtainable in two styles:
- The Loose Foundation Kit (containing Natural Loose Mineral Foundation, mineral rice setting powder, sample mineral primer, a mini Kabuki brush along with a bikini bag)
- The Liquid Foundation Kit (Liquid Mineral Foundation, loose blush, sample mineral primer, sample hi-def mineral powder along with a bikini bag).
According to Matt, the competition was “an incredible opportunity for our salon partners to participate with an effort that does not only pushed Youngblood's beautiful new image and packaging but gave them [owners and employees] an opportunity to take a well-deserved holiday after all the hard work and time they put into being dedicated beauty therapists for their clients”.
He asserted the Brazilian Beauty salon maximised kit sales during the competition period by focusing on each client's unique needs.
“Brazilian Beauty’s ethos is to empower their customers to possess their very own type of beauty,” he explained.
“With this in mind they focused on the private client experience over a broader message, making it all about the individual.
“After each treatment, they offered their customers a mini-makeover introducing all of them the new products and styles (eg, powder versus liquid) that they may happen to be hesitant to try.
“Finally, as a team, they also practiced the things they were preaching by wearing products from the kits every day to show their quality and ease of use.”
At this stage PBS isn't planning any more competitions for Youngblood, but the brand is going to be exhibiting at Beauty Expo Australia in August and launching “a number of exciting and innovating new products” later in the year.
