The Napoleon Perdis Makeup Artistry Squad will be out in full-force next week creating makeup searches for all of the IMG shows at MBFW Australia in addition to at Camilla's opening show for the Weekend Edition.
In between the Sydney shows, the squad will even “educate the public regarding how to acquire a flawless makeup look by returning to basics”.
Company founder and CEO Napoleon Perdis says the company (which was a sponsor at the first MBFW Australia in 1996 and it is the official makeup partner only at that year's event) happens to be passionate about supporting the neighborhood fashion industry.
“Fashion and sweetness work together,” he says.
“I can't wait to bring cutting-edge, next-gen makeup looks towards the runway this season.
“I'm so looking forward to working with other Aussie brands and adding my beauty spin to the shows.”
He says the company will be highlighting three make-up trends at next week's event:
'Natural' skin: “Skin that appears like skin, but both beautifully radiant not to mention matte in all the right places. We'll be working skincare and primers to obtain the skin texture to perfection before adding a gentle wash of concealer or foundation, only where needed, then setting it on the t-zone hotspots having a soft-focus blurring powder.”
Glossy lips: “Gloss is back for the lips; after many years of matter-than-matte lips the beloved lipsticks is making a return. Think luscious, juicy lips, particularly in sheer glassy shades, nudes and mauves.”
Summer colour: “Whilst nude still holds strong, colour is going to be huge this summer. It's about simple, uncomplicated washes of colour against a super clean canvas. It's a strong slick of purple or green across the eye or a crisp, bold orange lip with everything else completely nude and clean.”
Napoleon's daughter, 18-year-old Lianna Perdis (model and Napoleon Perdis brand ambassador) may also be appearing on the runway at MBFW this season.
Last year she appeared at the event for the first time – closing the show for Christopher Esber.
Napoleon says the company will certainly continue its sponsorship of MBFW for many years to come.
“MBFWA permits us to collaborate with other Aussie designers and showcase our services to the industry, which ultimately flows through to the customer,” he states.
“Our role because the official makeup partner for the premium Australian fashion event is a wonderful endorsement from the brand's place inside the fashion and beauty industry.”
