8 Tiny problems You're Doing That Are Actually Harming The skin

8 Tiny problems You're Doing That Are Actually Harming The skin

You’re probably already familiar with the primary causes of skin damage, for example excessive exposure to the sun and chemical irritants in laundry and cleaning products. However, there's a pretty good possibility that you also have seemingly innocent habits that are silently harming the skin.

From forgetting to wear sunscreen to overusing hand sanitizers, this is a list of daily habits that can stack up and cause permanent harm to your skin.

1. Skipping SPF

While it’s great to feel the warmth from the sun on the skin, an excessive amount of ultraviolet radiation from sunlight can cause premature aging and cancer of the skin. Even if it’s chilly and cloudy outdoors, or you don’t think you’ll be outside for long, it’s important to wear sunscreen every single day. Ultra violet rays can pass through clouds and glass and bounce off of water, sand, and snow.

Seek shade, wear proper clothing to safeguard your skin, and apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen by having an SPF of 30 or higher to safeguard your skin from both UVA and UVB radiation.

2. While using Wrong Skincare Products

It is crucial to use the appropriate skincare products regularly. Applying items that aren't tailored for your unique needs will, at best, be ineffective and, at worst, aggravate existing problems and cause irritation.

Make sure you’re while using right cleanser for the face. The face is really a lot more sensitive compared to remainder of your body, and it requires a gentler cleanser. For your face, choose a soft, non-abrasive cleanser free of alcohol.

Oil cleansing is good for all skin types, depending on the type of oil used. It’s effective because it does not strip the skin of its natural oils and can be used on dry, oily, acne-prone, or perhaps extremely sensitive skin. Just be sure to avoid common mistakes when oil cleansing, such as combining cleansing oil with water and never completely rinsing.

3. Over sleeping Makeup

The need to skip washing your face and just go right to bed is completely understandable, especially following a long, hard day. Unfortunately, leaving the night’s makeup on can cause problems for the skin each morning.

Makeup can trap pollutants and toxins that can cause harm to skin cells and collagen, leading to premature skin aging. Leaving your makeup on overnight can result in clogged pores, skin breakouts, and dry skin.

Keep your skin neat and clear using a mild cleanser that contains glycerin or botanical oils. If you're too exhausted to really make it to the sink, use some facial wipes to remove all of the makeup and dirt out of your face.

4. Inadequate Sleep

Your skin rejuvenates while you sleep, allowing it to get over the stresses from the environment, such as sunlight, pollution, and extreme heat or cold. A good night of rest helps keep the skin smooth, supple, and free from blemishes.

Lack of regular, quality sleep weakens your skin’s capability to repair and revitalize itself, leading to eye bags and puffiness, dull skin, wrinkles, uneven pigmentation, and reduced skin elasticity.

5. Resting on One Side

Sleeping on your side may cause wrinkles and creases inside your skin. Whichever side of your face is pressed upon your pillow every night can be cultivated deeper wrinkles or creases that may become permanent with time.

The best way to don't get these sleep wrinkles would be to try alternating which side you are sleeping on or resting on your back.

6. Unneccessary use of Hand Sanitizers

Hand sanitizing works well at killing germs, however it comes with some drawbacks. Overusing hand sanitizers can cause dry, cracked skin, flaking, redness or discoloration, and sensitivity to touch.

If you wear rings, remember that excessive use of hand sanitizers can damage the skin along with your jewelry. The chemicals in hand sanitizers leave a residue that could dull the luster of your rings, or even loosen their setting, with time.

7. Pressing Your Phone Upon your Face

It shouldn’t come as a surprise to listen to that the phone isn’t quite sanitary. Think about this: you make it with you practically anywhere you go, you hand it to your pals when showing them photos or directions, and you’ve undoubtedly dropped it several times-then you choose up and press it upon your face to create a call.

When you hold your phone to your face, any bacteria on its surface mixes with your makeup, sweat, and oils, allowing the perfect environment for acne along with other skin problems.

Clean and disinfect your phone regularly to get rid of dirt and bacteria that could cause acne. Alternatively, rather than pressing your phone upon your face, use the speakerphone function.

8. Consuming An excessive amount of Sugar

Having a lot of goodies like cakes and frozen treats can lead to skin brittleness and lack of elasticity. Rather than reaching for the cookie jar, prepare a skin-friendly meal with vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. To maintain optimal skin health, give you enough vitamins and minerals from the well-balanced diet.

Put an end to those improper habits that prevent you from experienceing this radiant, clear skin you desire.  While you're at it, avoid repeatedly touching your face and picking at the skin, too. Instead, always apply sunscreen, cleanse, moisturize, maintain a healthy diet, and obtain enough sleep. A good skincare routine is the foundation for healthy, beautiful skin.
